Distinguished is level 3 of 4 in the Jamaica Hall of Fame: sustained excellence over a career, widely honoured at home. See how the levels work.
Why they are here
One of the trio of Jamaican quarter-milers who announced the island as a sprinting nation after the Second World War.
McKenley won Olympic silver medals in the 400 metres in 1948 and 1952 and in the 100 metres in 1952, and ran in the Jamaican team that won the 4 x 400 metres relay in Helsinki. He later coached the national team for many years.
