Why they are here
A sound-system operator and producer whose Studio One in Kingston recorded a generation of Jamaican musicians.
Dodd's studio, opened in 1963, was a training ground for ska, rocksteady and reggae, recording the Skatalites, the early Wailers and many others. Its rhythms are still reused by producers today.
